Overview

How I got started

I`ve been riding bikes my whole life. I remember ripping around on my first bike, giong off curbs and stuff until my chain fell off and my mom had to stop and put it back on for me or seeing how far i could skid, ripping up my tires as i tried. I guess I got my first "real" mountain bike after a couple seasons of breaking all my cheaper bikes following around all the older guys and trying to do what they were. Once i stopped breaking all my stuff i started riding with a group of people, most of whom were much older than me. We`d go on long cross country rides or do some urban riding at the university until it got dark and i had to come home.

Goals for the Future

I`ll be on a mostly all new bike for this season so i really want to try and progress in all areas of my riding. I`ll definatly be looking to podium at as many dh and 4x races as i can but what I`ll be focusing on the most is my "freeriding". I learned a few tricks at the end of this season like no foot cans and backflips, that I`d really like to get a lot more consistant with on dirt. I`ve also started riding bmx just this past season and have already picked up a few things and i really want to bring a bit of bmx style and trickery to the forests.

Bio

Some Personal Information About Me:

Will be studying business at the University of British Columbia in the fall. Love chillin with friends or just takin it easy at home. Work for a local bike shop (the best job i could as for right now)

Competitive Highlights

I guess my best placing was when i was out in Whistler 2 seasons ago. I ended up winning a local loonie race that was being held up in the garbanzo zone by .01 seconds! I was stoked to be some kid from Ontario that ended up beating a bunch of Whistler locals. I don`t really race all that much i guess, I try to make it out to as many Ontario Cup dh and 4x events as i can, but over the last 2 seasons i`m had a few disappointing crashes. I was super stoked after landing a 22 foot cliff drop, first ever backflip and getting a segment in the movie Entrails; not all in the same day ;)
