Q&A - Competition
How did you get started?
Good friends of mine got me into the sport. After my first time on a trail, I was hooked. I used to hike and backpack in my younger years and I like to say mountain biking is like hiking only faster, more dangerous and a whole lot of FUN! I like anything that is fast, dangerous and fun!
List your competitive highlights:
I started and finished my first race while Tropical Depression Ike cause wide spread havoc in the state of Indiana.2 inches of rain and 60 mile an hour winds.
What are you planning for next season?
I would like to do more races in the DINO series. Each time bettering my last performance. I would also like to try my first 24 horo solo. In Road Cycling I am aiming to do RAIN (Ride Across INdiana) as well as the Great Finger Lakes Bicycle Tour.
Q&A - Personal
Why do you like this sport?
It makes me feel like a kids again. Being on my bike allows me to have fun. It allows me to only focus on where I want to go instead of where I don't want to go. Rule for the ride-rule for life
What has been your most embarrassing moment?
I don't get embarrassed. I love to laugh and if you can't laugh at yourslef, you take life to seriously.
Music?
Everything. From old country like Johnny and Willie to new stuff like Nickleback and Maroon 5 and all thats in between.
What inspires you to compete?
I love the thrill of competition. I love finishing something that is hard or physically exhusting. I love bettering my performance. I love MTB
What do you want to be when you grow up?
A grown-up. Go figure.
